The team from Puppy Kitty NYCity, a rescue organization in NYC, sprang into action when they received a call about a very ill grey cat in need of help. Upon their arrival, they also found another cat in need of rescue – a friendly orange and white tabby who was over 10 years old and deaf.
“We wanted to give him a better life off the streets. He has been living outside for a decade. It’s time for him to retire and enjoy his golden years in comfort,” Meagan explained.
For ten years, he wandered the urban streets with Puppy Kitty NYCity. They managed to rescue the cat using a humane trap and finally brought him inside. Unfortunately, the sickly grey cat could not overcome his illness despite their efforts. His companion, an orange and white cat, began to adapt to the new environment where food and affection were abundant.
Puppy Kitty NYCity named him Creamsicle with love. Initially a bit shy, but once they discovered his favorite treat, everything changed. Creamsicle eagerly devoured all the treats and then a full plate of food, as if he had never eaten before. He started to enjoy being petted and getting ear scratches, and his walls of hesitation came crumbling down.
Creamsicle quickly built trust through food and treats, thanks to Puppy Kitty NYCity. After receiving proper medical care, the sweet boy’s playful and lively spirit shone through in no time. With regular hearty meals and lots of cuddles from his humans, Creamsicle developed a strong love for the cozy indoor lifestyle.

Creamsicle enjoys collecting his toys and examining them closely before diving back into playtime with enthusiasm.
